Vivek Kumar Singh is a highly skilled Staff Engineer at VMware with over 9 years of extensive experience in building scalable systems. He has expertise in multiple programming languages such as Golang, Python, and JavaScript, as well as in Microservices Architecture, Kubernetes, Containerization, App Modernization, Cloud Architecture, and Cloud-Native Technologies. Vivek is passionate about Open Source Software (OSS) and has contributed to many open-source projects, including Kubernetes and OpenFaaS. He has also written blogs about Software Architecture, Kubernetes, Golang, Python, and other Software Engineering topics. Currently, Vivek is working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at VMware, where he is building VDP (VMware Developer Platform), a Kubernetes-based PaaS platform for VMware SaaS Services. In his previous role at Akamai, he led the development of a reporting platform for generating different kinds of reports by aggregating data from different data sources and developed an event-driven automation platform using Stackstorm, Airflow, Microsoft Bot Framework, and ELK stack. Vivek holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Techno India, Kolkata, and a Higher Secondary (12th) degree in Mathematics from Anugrah Narayan College, Patna. He has also mentored junior developers in his team and educated and migrated applications to Akamai Internal PaaS. Vivek's Tech Stack includes Software Engineering, Kubernetes, Golang, Python, JavaScript, Microservices, and Apache Airflow. He is interested in OSS, Distributed Systems, Scalability, and Serverless Computing and is always ready to take on any challenge in these areas.
